Friendly Fires, a band from England, brings a frenetic rock mixed with dance-inspired sound to the table. Not quite willing to be labelled under one genre, the band (Ed Macfarlane, 24, lead vocals and guitar; Jack Savidge, 24, drums; and Edd Gibson, 23, syntheziser) plays at an urgent pace that earns comparisons to Cut Copy and Metronomy. They finished a tour opening for Lykke Li a few months ago and will spend the next months touring the UK, France and Germany.

First drawn in with songs like Your Love and Paris, Friendly Fires’ second album is slicker, with help from the producers behind Bloc Party and Babyshambles. And their buzz grows with their songs used in Wii Fit and Playstation 3 ads and on Gossip Girl. Check out some of their music vids below:
