rag & bone fall 2010

Rag & Bone‘s “inspired by a 1920s Mount Everest expedition” fall 2010 collection definitely showed its heritage yesterday, think heavy layers with a cozy, utilitarian streak. The 32 multifaceted looks — consisting of belts, pouches, bolo ties and mittens piled on top of layers of plaid, tweed and wool — were courtesy of editor/stylist Vanessa Reid (former assistant to editor Marie-Amelie Sauve ).

The models wore muted slate grey nail polish and were rosy-lipped and kohl-eyed thanks to co-designer David Neville’s wife, makeup artist Gucci Westman. And as usual, the model casting was stellar with a mix of established and fresh faces, including Sasha P., Iselin, Jac, Lisanne De Jong and Lais Ribeiro.
