concrete jungle where dreams are made

W Magazine‘s been undergoing a lot of drastic changes with Stefano Tonchi taking over at the helm and rumours of Anna Dello Russo coming on board… intrigue! July’s issue with Eva Mendes on the cover is the debut of these behind-the-scene changes and Terry Richardson gets behind the lens for a big editorial — his first for W in a long time (supposedly former art director Dennis Freedman was not a fan). I split this ed in two as it featuring location and B&W studio shots. Not the most compelling or cohesive editorial but I like the unexpected wigged-out cast of models (Tao, Stam & Ana Beatriz) and of course, I’m a total sucker for the NY landmarks! Check back tomorrow for the rest of Richardson’s studio-set shots!
