riccardo tisci for dior?

Riccardo TisciDerek Blasberg blabbed over Twitter that Givenchy’s current designer Riccardo Tisci is confirmed to replace Galliano at Dior. Keep in mind that though this piece of intel has legs especially on Twitter, it’s really only been stated by man-about-town Blasberg and who knows where he heard it from!! So officially, the designer musical chairs in Paris continues…

If its true I’ll be disappointed. I can’t see Tisci’s austere esthetics at frivolous Dior. Rumours everywhere. Even one that LVMH bought out Alber Elbaz’s contract from Mrs.Shaw for Dior and Jason Wu will take over Lanvin. Anyway Paris Fashion Week was rather morose this season due to the Galliano scandal.

Seems more official by the minute!
    The latest is:
    Riccardo Tisci > Dior
    Haider > Givenchy

Tisci for Dior seems like a stretch in terms of aesthetics, but it will be interesting to see how his sensibilities fit there, it’s all under the LVMH roof anyway.

Not ready to see Alber part from Lanvin!!

Phew! I couldn’t imagine Lanvin without Elbaz.
I like Haider(who’s hot btw lol) and so looking forward to seeing what he’ll do at Givenchy. Hope he’ll steer the House away from the Goth path Tisci put it through(as much as I liked it.) I actually thought Haider was right for Dior as he has an architectural vision like the late great Gianfranco Ferre who did fabulous work during his stint at Dior. I’ll miss Galliano’s work.

  4. I’m so excited to see what Ricardo will bring to Dior, I hope he brings back the elegance and sophistication Dior was known by awhile back!
