Amazing cover of the ubiquitous Ms. Stone shot by Patrick Demarchelier. Very Burberry-esque somehow fitting seeing as her bloke is a Brit, no?

fashion sweethearts
Let’s hope this batch of models and their significant others profiled in February’s Vogue fare better than the last! Vogue did a very similar feature in April 2009’s model issue and out of the six couples, four have since broken up (Chanel Iman and Tyga, Doutzen and DJ Ruckus, Caroline Trentini and Victor Demarchelier and Anna Maria Jagodzinska and her bf) and not sure the status of the other two.

spot the wwd blunder
Maybe it’s because I’m not a morning person, but the above item in WWD about Demarchelier’s epic Fashion’s Night Out shoot had me doing a double take. Can you spot the mistake? I’ll give you a sec…
Ok, Iman and her daughter Chanel? Am I missing some fashion tongue-in-cheek here or breaking news that Chanel Iman is the lovechild of Iman and Bowie? Perhaps I better go get that coffee after all.

Vogue May 2009
Chanel Iman, Doutzen Kroes, Caroline Trentini, Anna Jagodzinska, Arlenis Sosa Pena & Julia Stegner/Photographer: Patrick Demarchelier
Vogue makes good on its May cover cut line “The Real Lives of Models” by revealing top models’ significant others. While these guys aren’t as high profile as the Tom Bradys of the world, some definitely have major credentials. Chanel Iman’s dating rapper Tyga (cousin of Gym Class Heroes’ lead singer Travis McCoy) and Doutzen Kroes’ with DJ Ruckus (cousin of Lenny Kravitz). Then there’s the fashion-related bfs—Caroline’s dating Patrick Demarchelier’s son, Victor; Arlenis is with fellow model, Rene Rodriguez and Julia has dated Steven Pan (Meisel’s first assistant) for years now. Anna J’s bf, on the flip side, is an econ grad student (equally impressive in my books!) This menswear-inspired ed isn’t awe-inspiring by any means, but a good, standard Vogue studio ed and a cute concept.
This is my 100th post!
