Models sometimes undergo transformations to rejuvenate their career and image. The classic example is supermodel Linda Evangelista, whose career went into overdrive after she cut her hair super short and earned a rep thereafter as a chameleon with her ever-changing hair colour.
One of the most successful cases in recent times is one of my favourites, Polish model Anja Rubik, who chopped her long blonde hair into a stylish crop in 2007. The drastic cut was done before Chloé’s Fall/Winter campaign shoot and it transformed her image from classically pretty to androgynous and edgy. She was certainly successful before, but her haircut elevated her to a new level and she went on to nab the most ad campaigns that season.
